After months of attempt by both me and my wife, my wife finally got an opportunity to talk to the IIO.
She called them to make sure that our address is changed. As expected, it wasn't, inspite of AR-11 form mailed overnight, weeks ago. She noted down our new address.
Then she asked about our GC. She couldn't tell the status of our case, as their computer system is down (which one?). However she volunteered to inform that as of today, they are processing November 1st case.
