She told me based on my RD: 8/9/01, my case will be assigned to an officer in 1-2 weeks. This was kind of a sigh of relief (don't know for how long).

Until this call, for last two months, IIO would say case not assigned yet and will take blah blah period.
 
I wonder why INS started working on August cases in a LIFO manner (For Habibee: Last In First Out).

At least that's the impression I gained looking at rupnet approvals. My guestimation was: They wanted to start Oct'2001 ND approvals (which coincidently also is INS new processing year).

Any views?
