Hello Guys,
I am one of those August NDs, still waiting for approval AOS.
RD : 07/12/2000
ND : 08/01/2000
LIN-00-224-*****

Luckily, I had a chance to talk to the IIOs three times
in the last two weeks. This is what is confusing..
1st Call : Still pending
2nd Call : Assigned to an officer on 18th October 2001.
3rd Call : (today) A decision has been made, But I cannot
tell you the decision, you have to wait upto three weeks.

What should I infer from these conversations, can anyone
help me here.
Thanks,
SS.

Just wait, but I think ....

decision is either approval or REF, I think you have a REF as it needs two weeks to generate.

The best way to get this info is to approch your senator

Go to the office of your senator or congressional rep. Have a letter typed up describing the kind of situation you are in. Mention that you are having difficulty finding out the status and it\'s been pending for too long. They will immediately ring up NSC and find out what\'s going on. They have a special number they can call. INS can\'t lie to them because they are the powers that be.

Important: don\'t call their office. Go in person with a letter written up. They have specialized staff ( for immigration ) to deal with such situations.
