Taking child to interview

Hi- my spouse will be away on a business trip on the day of my interview (he has'nt applied n-400).

can i take my 5 year old son (citizen by birth) to the interview- would the officer allow him to come to the room where the interview is held ?

hi!, I went to the interview last week with my kid (3yr old) because my wife could not take him and everything went smoothly without problems, the officer was really nice to him, despite he was singing a lullabye almost the whole interview.

I do not think that you will have any problem, if you explain to him/her that your wife could not look after him/her, but it all depends on the officer.
