Hi everybody,
did any of you take Caribbean or Mexican cruise while waiting for the adjustment? Do you still have to obtain a new I-94 from an officer? Do you need visas into the RTD? Is the customs procedure same strict as if you just cross the border?
Thanks in advance!

DEAR BIGSASHA:

i went 3 times cruising while i was waiting for green card,

3 times to bahamas, i was only using RTD, you dont need via if you go cruising, all you need is either:

a- american passport
or
b- green card,
or
c - valid RTD OR REENTRY DOCUMENT,

each time i go cruising they never try to take my i 94, they look at my RTD

THEN THEY LET ME ENTER,

when i came back, they stamp my rtd and let me enter to usa,i always keep my i 94,

remember that if they took your i 94, try to fill a new one when you reach usa

good luck to you

I have a quesiton about the visa to go to Mexico, I went to the Mexican consulate the other day just to ask if a RTD holder need a visa to enter into mexico by cruise, ( even Baja), they told me yes. I know that you don't need a visa to go to Tijuana, but anything beyong Tijuana you need a visa. I thought he was just bullsh**ting at me, does any body have any experience about the visa issue when cruising to Baja or Mexian Riviria departing from L.A.?
