Maybe this question is repeated in various forms and dimensions but I am curious to know if there is any latest information as for the India EB3 PD movement from April 2001.

No clue ..

BrainDrain,

The general consensus is that India EB3 will not move beyond April '01 till EB3 ROW becomes current. I don't think anyone knows exactly when EB3 ROW will become current. If you search this forum you will find numerous posts that cover this issue. Just search UN's posts and you will find endless explainations of this issue.

At present the only short term solution is an immigration bill that adds visas to the EB3 category. You will also find numerous debates on the immigration bill issue in this forum.

Its best to not expect any relief in the short term and plan accordingly.

cheers,

Thanks Saras for your response.I have decided to move back and go for consular process when PD is current. In the meantime, I would add more skills while I am back home with my family and work for an MNC

Good luck ..

BrainDrain,

So long as all your bases are covered (making sure your process continues) you should be fine. It is good to see that you are taking positive (proactive) steps in this situation. Good luck.

ROW - Rest of the World

lalalala,

ROW means rest of the world and as another member already pointed out it contains all applicants other than China, India, Mexico and Philippines. This is just the way the visa quota has been setup since applicants from China, India, Mexico and Philippines takeup a lot of visas.
