Fellow waiters,
As per an earlier mail of mine as to "what are lawyers for", I have been shopping around for some lawyers who can be proactive
in working with the CIS. Here is a response I got from one of them, I am waiting for some more responses -
-------------------------------------------
Good morning: Thank you for your e-mail. CIS is taking an unreasonably long time to adjudicate IV petitions and adjustment applications. I suggest barraging them with inquiries and also contacting the local office to see what they have to say about this situation. Unfortunately, there's no magic way to get CIS to expedite the case, although different attorneys employ various tactics. I would be happy to meet with you about this matter
---------------------------------
Does anybody have any idea of various tactics adpoted by lawyers, as also barraging INS with inquiries ? I noticed several approvals for Dec. cases in AUg/Sep/Oct 2003 - did these lawyers adopt some innovative tactics ???
Thanks.
