T.N visa need social security no

hello all i am new here just got a tn visa i just like to know do i need a social secruty no plz advise me
 
Go to the Social Security office and show them your TN and your passport. You'll get one in a few weeks (it only took a week for me, though.)
 
do not apply until 4 weeks after you have acquired TN status. SS needs to have your valid status input into their systems by USCIS otherwise when you apply they will reject your application.
 
I applied pretty much right after I got my TN and I got my number a week later with no problems. All this in less than 2 weeks.
 
I applied for my TN at the Peace Bridge in Buffalo in 2000, and then went straight to the Buffalo Social Security office, and applied. Long wait, but thats life. My number arrived a few weeks later.
