Tomorrow would be six months since my I-485 was received by BCIS.
Do you think I can safely switch jobs (similar job description)without jeopardising my pending I-485?
OR do I have to wait 6 months after I-140 approval?
If I move from the region, would I have to transfer the case to another Service Center???

do I have to wait 6 months after I-140 approval?
The I-140 needs to be approved. The I-485 must be pending approval for 180 days. The approved I-140 does not need to be 180 days old.

i agree with w8nc

there is no 180 rule for I-140 application. you have to have I-140 approved for that. SO hold on uptill that. Otherwise your case would be denied:o

Make sure your old employer won't revoke I-140. The employer can revoke for up to 180 days from the date of approval. If its revoked you don't have a basis for your I-485. Check with a good lawyer.
