Switching Job while EAD renewal is pending

Hi,

I am currently working on EAD which is expiring in 3 months. The company where I work as consultant have given me a good offer and want to switch to that comapny.

Since My EAD is expiring in 3 months, I have to apply urgently. can I apply EAD from my current company and switch to new employer while EAD is in process?

Gurus please help me on this.
