switching from F1-CPT to EAD: help

My wife just recieved her EAD based on her I-485. She has been on F-1 CPT
for last six months ... does she needs to switch to using EAD or she can stay on CPT till it expires (like another six months)..then use EAD for future...

I understand that her F-1 status is no longer valid after her I-485 application filing...

any help ..suggestions... difference of opinions..

In my opinion your wife would be fine using the EAD from the AOS application. There is very little risk if your 140 is approved and you are staying in the same job and I am not sure of her F1 status having filed 485. I was on F1 OPT and after my 140 was approved I switched to working on EAD linked to AOS pending.

That's just my opinion, I am curious to see what other people would recommend.
 
My I-140 has been approved ..and I am in the same job...it's not about me..
it's about my wife..... she is on CPT..and my question is ...does she need to switch to AOS based EAD ...since her F1 status is no longer valid after AOS pending.. or she can just stay on CPT till it expires and then use AOS based EAD for any future employement..

I had asked similar kinda query few days back.
Is your wife working on CPT or OPT?
What u said is correct that she no longer enjoys F1 status.
I don't know abt CPT (iguess its meant for short period) Our lawyer suggested that instead of using OPT we shd use AOS based EAD for any kind of job while u are on pending AOS.
