Switching from CP to AOS

I didn't see any post specifically on switching from CP to AOS. Has anybody gone down that road? I think it may be benefitial to post this info for others.
For example:
(1) Whom did you inform about CP to AOS switch and how?
(2) How long did it take you to transfer your case?
(3) Did you experience any delays as a result of your switch?
(4) Which issues did you experience (if any)?

Most winners aren't able to just AOS because they don't have legal resident status in the US. Their only choice would be to interview at a consulate.
Transferring you case if it is already at a consulate would usually take about 2 months
It will delay about 2 months if you are at the consulate less otherwise
