Switching companies...what documents I need to have

Hi all,
I have my I-140 approved a while ago and I-485 has been pending for more than a year now.
I am working through a consulting company on my EAD now.
My client now wants to hire me as a full-time employee.

Here are my questions:
1. If I tell my old company that I want to take this job, can they revoke a previously approved I-140 through them?
2. Before telling my old company, what documents I need to make sure I have in my hand relating to immigration?
For example, I only have copies of I-485 receipt and I-140 approval notice and not the originals.
3. Since the new company will have a different immigration lawyer, do I need to do something to make this lawyer take over the 485 case?

Would appreciate any help on how all this works.
I want to take the new job, but just concerned about the immigration issues, if its going to affect the green card processing.

Thanks
