Hi,
I'm an Indian resident and have filed for I-140/485 concurrent application in Aug 2007. My EB-3 priority date is April 2004. I am eligible to file for EB-2 now, though I wasn't eligible to do so in April 2004.
Is it possible in any way for me to file for EB-2 in parallel while my EB-3 I-140/I-485 application continues (whether or not if it involves filing the EB-2 application by switching to a different job which requires my original Eb-3 job as a prerequisite after 6 months of waiting on the I-485 application)?
Further, is it possible that if the new EB-2 labor application gets approved I could possibly transfer my I-485/I-140 case from EB-3 to EB-2 while retaining the original priority date of Apr 2004 of the original case? if so, how?
I have heard of something known as interfiling where this may be possible, so any comments from experts would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks so much for your time.
