Switch to EAD from H1B

When switching to EAD from H1B does the employer need to report it to INS?

I provided my employer with a copy of my EAD and told them that I will now work on EAD...they simply kept it in their records..Is that it?

I have entered the US with my I131 travel document.

Ask HR to have you fill up a new I-9 form stating that your employment eligibity is based on EAD. This will update the record for the company in case there is an INS audit.
