Switch jobs after GC received

Can anyone tell me how long I would need to keep working for my employer after the GC is received through CP?

1 year after getting GC is safe period. But if you have worked for that company before getting GC then some attorneys say even 6 months is fine. But in general 1 year is a safe bet.

GC is for future employment. Employee and employer should have intent of working together after GC. So, 6 months to 1 year is considered safe bet.
But, this issue is debatable by some who quit and find a new job. Most of the attorneys recommend working for 6 mnths to 1 year with sponsoring employer.
