Since I didnt get any feedback on my Dual A files thread, I am posting a new thread here which could be helpful to lot of folks applying for N400 after having had F1 OPT's EAD in the past.

Can you pls. post if you had F1 visa's OPT EAD in the past. If so, did you do CP for GC and not file I485. If so during your Nat. interview did u had to face the dual A files problem.

Pleaaaaaaaase, post in this thread so people in the same boat can be proactive.
Thanks.

My natz. interview is on March 9.

I had an F1 OPT card.

I did CP after withdrawing my I485.

I will know in two weeks if I have the two A files problem.

I was on F-1 then used my OPT and had an EAD, got my green card thru CP and did not file I-485.

Had my citizenship interview on 2/21 and was told that the decision can not be made pending receipt of second "A" file.

I checked my records last night. My EAD card from OPT has a different A# from the one on my green card.

Is there any way for me to be pro-active and make sure that the interviewer has/gets the A file from the OPT EAD card?

My interview is coming up on March 9th in Boston. Anyone in Boston who is in a similar situation and did not have any problems with the interview?

Thanks

Same here. My EAD card from OPT has a different A# from the one on my green card.

when EAD from OPT was issued, it has INS A#

Is it typically that A # on EAD from OPT is different from the one on green card?

I thought if you did 485, you should have same A# on green card as it is on EAD-OPT.

If you did CP, then A# is different from the one on EAD-OPT.

Can anyone verify?

THANKS
