Surrender Certificate Issue

My wife and I applied for Surrender Certificate/Cancellation of Passport couple of weeks back and received the cancelled passport yesterday along with the surrender certificate. Unfortunately on my surrender certificate, the consulare forget to sign it(i guess). It just has the Consular stamp without a signature.

Will this create any issue when i apply for OCI?

Will i have any problem at immigration when i travel to india?

I sent an email with the above questions to the consulate....as usual got not response.

Anyone encountered similar situation? Any idea what to do?

Thanks

This whole issue with SC is farse.. some people got the same form back without any stamp or signature. I suggest submitting the same with OCI because it is not your fault they did not do their job correctly, but I feel since the stamp is there you should be ok. What consulate is this? Did they at least fill the name in the surrender certificate part or do you have to fill that.?

This is with NY consulate. They filled in my name fortunately. I had applied for OCI with the surrendercertificate as is. Hopefully should go through fine. Didn't send the unsigned surrender certificate back. hoping for the best.
