Recently, my husband and I got into a big argument and I ended up packing my things and went to stay at my cousins place for awhile. About a week later, my husband received a surprise visit from IO at 8 am.
They inspected the house and pretty much flagged us on multiple accounts asking questions such as why are there only one pillow in a bed for two and wondered where my belongings are. My husband explained to them and they drove to my cousins house to check. I was not there at the time as I was out delivering gifts for the Holiday (moon festival). My cousin called and I frantically rushed there. They inspected the house to make sure my belongings were there. After explaining to them the situation, they proceeded to interview me.
I thought the interview went decent however just the timing was completely off. My case has been dragged on for over 6 years now and all of a sudden we received a surprise visit at the worst time possible...
My lawyer said many things can happen now but at least the case is moving forward. He then told me it can take up to 3 months to receive a letter... I am beyond stressed and wondered if anyone here has been in similar situation that can offer some insight.
