support for Senator Obama's Citizenship Promotion Act

Nice idea, but online petitions never affected anything, ever. If you wish to support Obama's bill, write to your Senator expressing support for it. A simple signed letter from you is worth a 100 online petitions.

I am encouraging people to write to their Senators, I thought. Working with AFU also is a great idea.

However, I stick with my original point. Online petitions are ineffective. They're easy to sign an just as easy to ignore. I'm sorry you don't like this, but I've seen this many times before and its the truth.

If you believe strongly in something, be proactive about it. Clicking a link and typing in your email address on a webpage is not enough.

Oh - and that link to the petition doesn't even work!

dr_lha....if u go to the site www.americanfamiliesunited.com...people are working on lobbying...Kindly do not discourage people from e-signing...We dont know wat may help in such a situation...
Name check is a dark tunnel...no 1 knows where the end of the tunnel is...:-)

Hi:

Dr. Iha is quite right. E-signing is pretty much useless. Perhaps, if you care strongly about the issue, you might be proactive and make more effort to lobby with your senator.
