Summer vacation - Do I need to wait 3 months after coming back before applying?

My wife is going to send her N-400 application soon based on 5 years residency. However, she is going overseas on a summer vacation later this month for 2.5 months. We are planning on her mailing the application as soon as she returns back to the US. May be even to mail it a week or two before she comes back to the US.

We both have lived in the same district in Texas for more than 5 years. The question is does her 2.5 months vacation affects the 3 months requirement for living in the district? Are we safer by waiting 3 months after she comes back before mailing her application? Is there a problem if I mail her application 2-3 weeks before she comes back to the US?

Common sense says no as a vacation is just a temporary leave but I need to know your opinion. Thnaks for replying.

alex if u r living in the same adress for more than 3 months prior to your vacation and if u have filed for ur ar11 she should have no problem whats so ever.
btw whats ur d.o>houston/dallas?

the reason being texas is very fast and the chances are very high that she should have her fp date within 2.5 months of her rd...

query11, thanks for the reply.. We live in the address for 4 years and have filed AR-11 when we moved to it..

I am in Houston (Katy).. I just filed my N400 application for myself 2 weeks ago. Based on the timelines I saw for Houston, it looked like if I filed for my wife now as well, we would have issues with FP or intreview scheduled while she is overseas. So we will mail her application on the day she comes back to the US..
