Hello all:
I visited the consular processing tracking site and summarized
the following information on the time taken for the various consular
processing steps. This is an average of all the posted times in the cp.
tracking website. I did this for my own use, hope you will find it
useful.
1. Start I-140 approved = 0
2. From I-140 Approval Date to NVC Received Date =+17
3. From NVC Received Date TO NVC Case Created Date =+7
4. From NVC Case Created Date TO NVC Packet3 Created Date =+8
5. From NVC Packet3 Created Date TO NVC Packet3 Sent Date =+5
6. From NVC Packet3 Sent Date TO Packet3 Received Date = +9
7. Packet3 Sent to Consulate = Depends on how it is sent
8. From Packet 3 Sent to Consulate Date TO Interview Date = +86
As an example, if your I-140 is approved on Jan 1, 2002,
then your case will be received by NVC on Jan 18. Your case
will be created on Jan 25th. Your Packet3 will be created
on Feb 2nd, and mailed to you February 7th. Which, you will
receive February 17th. If you mail by Fedex, it takes 3 to 4 business
days to reach India. From that point on you will have to wait about
3 months or until May 13th for your interview. I am not sure, but
it appears that you will get your packet4 approximately one month
after the consulate receives your packet3, i.e, March 15th.
Thanks to the Dude you put up the CP tracking website.
Wishing all of you a Happy and Prosperous New Year.
