Suggestions Please 'ACE Technologies'.

Hi,

This may not be the right forum but please suggest if you know any details about this consulting company in the bay area. One of my friend got an offer from this company(ACE Technologies). He got confirmed for a consulting position at a client and these guys are asking him to work for them on a permanent basis. Can you guys express your views about this firm.

1. Is it good to work with them.
2. How is the dealing when a person is off the project.
3. Is this a reliable company.
4. How is the GC processing.

Please express your views. This will help him.

I know a few who were working with ACE. Based on my discussions with them in past -
1. They were getting paid in time and paid promised salary.There were no issues in general. Earlier they were doing corp to corp but now mostly they ask for joining them on permanent position
2. Off the project, they were put on bench with no salary. The GC was continued although they started working with different company
3. The company is in business for many years. If that is the definition of reliability, yes they are. For other definitions, I cannot say.
4. They offered substitute labor to one of my friend but did not offer to other. I know that many of the GC by them were approved but some were denied as well. They had some issues in past when they were doing mass processing, now they do very restrictive processing. My friend, who was not offered substitute, was told that.

I have never worked for them and do not have direct insight in the company. My information is based on 2 of my friends experience who worked there. Let see what is feedback of others.

I'd say look somewhere else

Ok, I'm _currently_ working for them. I don't like it at all... here's why:

1. If you ever need something else from them besides your paycheck that gets in automatically from ADP, forget it
2. They move so slow, you have to call in and send emails several times to get your documents you need
3. The GreenCard stuff... currently they were hit by several RFEs (I talked to other ACE employees) mostly on the ability to pay. I know they lost cases in the past because they did NOT provide the required info on time to their attorney.

This is a shit company

My friend who is an independent contractor worked thru them on corp-corp basis. It is a pain to get payment from them. They regularly pay you late. And when the project gets over they will NEVER pay the outstanding invoices. All their accounts and HR people work from Noida India and it is no use following up with them. If we ask them whether we can speak to their CEO, they will say he is in Mexico. These people are keeping our hard earned money and are behaving like this. Even after 1 year my friend is struggling to get the last 3 months of pay. He is thinking of legal action.
BEWARE: The owner Chuck Shaiker has also opened several companies under different names( Pure Soft, FCS ).

One of my friend who was working with ACE got his GC approved recently. It happened in less than 4 months time at CA.

The case of other was denied but that was not filed from CA.

I have heard many good things and many bad things about them.

I would say, if you have good project, you can get many such organizations but most of them play the same game.

ACE in that way may be better and worse than many.

If you could wait, I think it is better to try PERM route in about 2 months time thru a rock solid company...that does direct projects with good track record.

But beware of one such more company..Pegasus Consulting Company at NJ, many of my friends have not burnt fingers but almost burnt themselves dealing with them.
