Hi,
I am currently working with H-1B (from F-1, USA B.S.) but my visa expired three years ago. I haven't left US since then. My LC for EB3 got approved. I am getting ready to file for I-140.
I am planning to go to Vancouver this summer to get my first H-1B stamp. I have been reading some of the experiences posted here. It is very helpful and also it is good to know that I am not the only one in this situation. I will be consulting a lawyer before I go.
I have two specific questions:
1) Is there any specific complication for first time stamping in Vancouver (I have a Muslim name)?
2) If I understand the 30 day rule correctly, I won't be able to come back within 30 days if I don't get my visa renewed. Is that correct?
Thanks in advance for your comments.
