Did medicals in lister labs , & visited dr Vijaylakshmi for medicals the same day evening.She is a pretty kind lady , she charged us Rs 600 per head with out immunisations.
Took photographs @ camera citi opp to chola , he did a pretty good job.Make sure u tell him to leave some space below the photgraph so that u can sign it.they charge Rs 200 for 8 photos.
U need to write ur details behind the photograph.Make sure ur carrying a decent pen.
Made drafts for Rs 3185 towrads American consulate general & Rs 350 for Blue dart ltd.Write ur details behind the draft.
We reached the consulate @ 7.40 on the day of int, they opened the counters @ 9.00 am, submitted the documents & waited to be called for the interview.Finally was called for the interview , no major questions asked very simple & straight forward. Eventually was asked the pay the fees & we were done by 12.00 pm.
We got the visa papers the next day by blue dart.
Make sure u have all the documents in order , PCC from US is good enough no need to run around for local pcc.
We were seated in A/C hall all the while during the int , was dressed pretty casually.
POE was very smoth at dallas, i guess it took us 45 mts to get thru the imm line.No need to fill out I-94 details, the officer took our packets made us sign on some form , took our fp & signature the stamped our passport with the much awaited I-551 .
