Hi everyone,
Finally, after a long and frustrating wait over a year and sometime, i had my interview schduled for today. I was there at the right time and was shocked to see 100-150 applicants approx. I was in the middle of the queue to be interviewed. The personnel at the Embassy were pretty helpful. They took proper notice of the people out there and they were available when people needed their assistance.
I was sent to the security check at the very begining after i entered the main door of the Embassy. They required me to open my steel belt and my shoes, my wallet and and my bag to be checked. After they found it was allrite, they sent me inside, another door.
There again i had to be in queue, the same queue sequence when i was out the door at the gate.
It was such a frustrating time like what would they ask you, and would they give the visa or not.. and my things on head. After an hour and half i was called inside the hall where there were counters and seats for the people to be seated and wait for their turn to be interviewed. I waited for they call my name. I was called on the counter no. 5 and here goes the interview:
Me: Namaste! Good Morning.
CO: Namaste!
CO: Do you speak English?
Me: Yes, I do.
CO: Is everything correct on this form? (He showed me the form I filled after I got my 1st NL)
Me: Yes, as far as my knowledge.
CO: Please sign the form (handed me the form)
I signed the form and gave back to him.
CO: When did you passed your +2?
Me: on 2007.
(He was looking at the computer, i dont know if he was checking if that matched my form or not, may be)
CO: Are you married or single?
Me: I m single. Have not thought about it.
CO: Yes you are too young for that. are you 19 or 20?
Me: i am 20.
CO: have you signed the other form? (I was handed a form where there was written like people of 18-26 should be ready to join US army if the country is in troubl)
Me: I will sign it. (I signed the form, had no problem with that)
CO: Ok. Now you can come on 9th of July to pick up your Visa Packet. (Handed me the Small Paper Note where time and date were mentioned)
Me: Thank you sir!!
That was it .. didn;t took 5 minutes.. and for it, was waiting for a whole damn year.. anywayz.. it came late but it came allrite.. thank god..
