Hi,

Just want to share a bit about my CP Experience in Singapore. My interview was on 1st December. I came to the embassy with my wife and my baby. We were asked to queue by the security, but after I showed them the letter they asked me to go straight away to the counter.

Inside the embassy, we were asked to give all the documents and made payment. After that, we were interviewed by the officer. Not many questions, but our visa were temporary rejected. The main reason is financial issue.

I was a bit dissappointed. Thank God I got the job offer from USA, and with that I went back to embassy and this they approve the visa....:)

Question : we are going to USA on first week of March. My question is what will happen at the POE ? Will they interview us again ? I only have about two hours to continue my connecting flight. I am afraid it won't be enough time. Please share your POE experience

cheers

I see you have mentioned that your visa was temprarily rejected and i was told a similar line by embassy when called them to advise my police cert wont be in time for interview which will be next month.

can u tell if you were given a reject letter or told verbally that its rejected and that you have to send the required details before getting visa

do u mind telling when u got the visa. You said interview was on Dec 1st. When did u get the actual visa. Was it in Dec or in Jan?

when it was rejected did they give the docs and passport back to you asking to send it back when you have information or did they keep everything and then you just sent in missing job offer letter later.

Do you also mind telling after how many days of you sending the required document you got the visa...i just want to know how long does it take consulate to request another visa number from Dept of State after they request it since i am assuming you got visa in Jan and you were current in Dec so they had to request it again as end of Dec they returned your unused visa number

thanks for any info

Hi and Congrats to you

Well I think 2 hrs is a little too close but it all depends where are you arriving for POE.

You basicly will be ask for an address where you want your green card to be sent and they will take your fingerprint and probably explains how you can get your Social Security Number

If you choose places such as San Francisco I think it will be very quick since they have their own 'new immigrant' section but again it all depend on how many new immigrants are arriving at the same time.

For my experience, me and my wife arrived in Seattle and we have to wait for about 2 hrs due to alot of 'immigrants' arriving and only one officer to process us.

good luck to you
