Though the process was very different as what is posted for India consulates it was smooth enough. My thoughts are there are not so many EB cases in my country so the Consular Officers are looking for FB related documentation; i.e. I-134 was not required, a copy of the employment letter was requested for my wife, the consular officer kept all my original documents, no official translation was required, no questions about my job nor my company, and so on. Anyway it was a very fast process: we were at the Embassy by 6:30 am and the documents review was done by 8:45. We do not have a Consular Officer interview as an interview; the lady who review the documents ask us to sing the DS-230 Part II form. 15 minutes later another officer (an american guy) call our name and let us know our visas were approved and we have to pick the up by 3:00 pm. He put the "Cancelled without prejudice" stamp over our H1/H4 and B1/B2 visas. I went back by 3 pm; the visas were delivered by 4:30 pm
Medical and Lab test personnel were very rude.
POE experience was smooth as well. It took about one hour to the immigration officer to fill the card and get both of us fingerprinted and stamp our passports.
Bottom line: We are alien residents and I'm very greatfull with all the Cpers who help us with this process!!!!!
There's still a process to move ahead: the I.Visa was delivered with my company address as residence address. I think I have to fill a AR-11 form for each of us. I have the following questions regarding this form:
1) Present address will be my home address? ( I think yes it is)
2) Last Address will be Blank (since I haven't move from there during the last 2 years)
3) On my wifes's form the question "I work for ...." should I write down "House wife" ?
As always thanks for your feedback
