Successful interview

So I eventually decided to go through the GC lottery interview process since I really had nothing to lose by going through it. The interview process was pretty much a breeze and I actually found it quite a joke. The interviewer seemed to be in some sort of a hurry when interviewing me and had no hesitation in making my application successful within mere minutes.

So now the issue is just finding a time to hop over to the states, probably sometime during spring break. I might just use a green card for going to the US on holiday and what not but thinking about it thoroughly I don`t think I will ever move there permanently.

If you`re thinking about moving then seriously consider the factors of why you want to move there and if you think it is the right place for you. The economy is actually terrible in the states at the moment and the life style is nothing like it is shown in the media. Most of the people I`ve known there there are too arrogant and think they rule the world and are superior to other countries which annoys me (not all of them are like that but most). But yeah look into it, before entering years ago I thought America would open up lots of opportunities but boy was I wrong, I admit the media made me into a gullible zombie. But now I know the truth about America I kinda regret entering the green card lottery, and think it`s unfair it`s making people believe America is the land of the opportunity when it really isn`t anymore. Just a pathetic scheme for America to gain respect for `diversity`when it really is a dumb scheme to gain money.

But yeah, thought I`d tell you all and good luck with your interviews for this year 2012 applicants!

Wanted to say "Congrats", but looks like it is not important for you. Looks like less one visa for those who actually "want" to move to US.

Why go through all the process and pain if you do not want to move there. I oersonally think its a waste of time and money as I recall the medicals and Visa fees are not free or cheap.

Unfortunately for you if this was your sole reason for going through the process you have wasted a lot of time and money and has been mentioned possibly denied someone else a visa. The idea of the green card is that you make the USA your permanent home. If you are outside of the USA for long periods and a trend begins to set of going back and forth then eventually it will come to the attention of a POE Officer who will be under the impression that you have abandoned your permanent status and are living elsewhere while simply returning to the USA to keep your green card active.

You also go on to bag America as if to suggest why would anyone want to live there. I don't know where you are from but you seem to have not taken into account that the vast majority of other countries around the world are in a far worse state than the USA with less opportunities and in some cases not having rights among other things that people from first world countries take for granted.

People like you make me so sick. Do you realize how many people wish they had the opportunity you are given? Sorry to say, but i hope they do realize that you are using your PR as a tourist visa and take it away from you.

Thank you for sharing useful information. In America, rich person gets richer and poor person gets more poorer. If a person has a good experience in field he choose. He gets a job and but he has keep updating himself with latest updation in his work as well as he has to be creative in order to survive in USA.

You have also another thread before and you keep asking same question at that time and you have decided not to go for interview and now you went and got your visa. It just looks like you are trying to engage people and making them fool and enjoying user response.

To keep your green card you must be in the US more than you are out of the US and you must file income tax on your worldwide income and maintain a US address . Failure to do so will result in you arriving for a "visit" and getting turned around. If you wanted to visit a visitors visa is a lot less expensive than renting a place you aren't staying at.

C.P. Questions...Please Suggest me!!!

Hello Everyone,

Looks like for the month of march, the case for Asia is 27000 and I am 1000 short of being current. If any one can answer this question I have, I would be highly appreciated. Actually, I am in F-1 student visa and working in a company as a part of the CPT program. In addition, my mom and dad are here in the USA as a tourist visa, staying with my sister ( my sister is a Permanent Resident ). My sister wants to extend my parent's tourist visa for 6 more months. I was wondering if extending their visa would affect my immigrant visa issuance to the USA from USA embassy in Nepal. Please do suggest me!!!

Regards,

I saw another thread in similar situation once...but not sure if it was yours, or someone else. Did your sister extend your parents tourist visa yet?

LoveAmerica - am so sorry that you had to put yourself through all this scrutiny, medical check ups...may be some booster vaccnes, police clearance...and managed to follow through each of these steps for something you really didn't want. Hope no one had a gun on your head, really. Am so sorry that you got your green card (or a green card was imposed on you through your hard work). By the way there is a way to give it up...after your holiday of course.
