Successful interview on June 24 and POE on July 13 at NEWARK

Hello all,

I had successful interview on June 24. Everything was same as mentioned by others. Be prepared for flurries of questions asked by American officer that asks you for oath. I was asked when I decided to stay permanently in US and why? When I completed my studies ( I did MS in US). Why not in India you want to work. She was grilling everyone on that day. After couple of minutes, she told me to collect visa packets at 5 pm. I reached 4:50 and got packets within 30 minutes. The guy at window 15....Mr Mehta is very pleasant and is very helpful.

My POE was Newark and had no problems at all.

Another important thing to mention here

I had no birth certificate or non-availability certificate. I gave only copies of school leaving certificate(CBSE), affidavit from parents and birth certificate issued on school letterhead mentioning birth date,birth place and parents name. It was sufficient.
