Received 'card production' emails for my wife and me. Which means my 485 was successfully interlinked from EB2-NIW to EB1-EA. My EB1-EA was approved in early July. I then called an IO at NSC using the POJ method and was told that interlink cannot be done by phone and that only attorney should send a letter (not me, since there was a G28). Further my 485 was at NSC but EB1-EA was at TSC. The IO told me that the letter should also request that my EA files be moved to NSC.
My attorney sent such a letter to which we got a bizzare reply back - the reply from NSC said that "an earlier priorty date was not requested at the time of filing and so no action is necessary at this time". My attorney then suggested either infopass or senator's office for relief. He was in favor of contacting senator's office and so we did - July end.
Over the subsequent weeks, we got regular updates from NSC via senator's office - first to let us know they will look into it, then to inform us that the EA files were moved to NSC and then to inform us that my files were with a 485 supervior and will take 2 to 3 weeks for adjudication. This last email was exactly 2 weeks ago!
A big thank you to all forum members - and good luck to those waiting. Mine took 3 years from start-to-finish, with an RFE, denial and subsequent successful attempt - a real roller coaster ride. In the end, the stars were just aligned right I guess, or maybe it was the discovery of the new ring in Saturn, who knows but who cares!
