Hi guys..


My wife and I entered the US on Jan 15 with our immigrant visas at Chicago.
The immigration officer took our signatures and fingerprints and stamped our passports with the 1 year stamp. Said that the green cards could take anywhere between 1 month to a year to arrive. Hopefully they'll arrive soon.

Anyone else with POE Chicago? What timeframe did you get your cards?

I have not seen a trend between POE abdd time it takes to get physcial GC.

Kkulkar and I have received our cards in abuot 4 weeks and 2 weeks respectively. It is safe to assume that you will get welcome letter (mostly you will 2-3 letters) in about 2 weeks and cards within 4 weeks from then (so 6 weeks from DOE).
 
Welcome Letters

I received welcome letters for myself and my wife yesterday. Actually my wife got 3 welcome letters (guess she's more welcome than I am !!!)
The receipt date and notice date was Jan 21 which is pretty fast considering I entered the US on Jan 15th night in Chicago.
Hope to get the cards in about 2 weeks. Will post at that time!

Yes wife's are generally more welcome! I got 2 welcome letters adn wife got 3...hence my theorem above!

Would'nt it be nice if you get the cards on Valentine's day (Saturday) - Feb 14!

I think you are on track to get your cards in 2 weeks say maximum 3 weeks.

Maybe even today!!
 
Got the cards

Hi..

Got the cards for myself and my wife today.
Cards sure look funky!! (not too green though!)
those dots with the presidents' faces is something.

Well.. guess this completes the process.
