The whole process was same as others have described. In my Labor Ceritifcaition, Place of work was given as client location which is different from Employer Address (same State), but nothing was asked about Job Location etc. only 2 questions:
Which company you work for ? (Employer Name)
How long ?
My 6 years were over on H1B in Oct, stamp had expired on the passport, had 7th year H1B approval Notice. Was taken and returned in the evening with passport.
Few things about Mumbai Consulate :
1)Foreign Currency travellers Checks are NOT accepted for Demand Drafts (Banker\'s check) in any of the bank near the consulate, carry Indian Rupees.
2)No bags, diaper bags, babay bags etc, nothing is allowed inside the comnsulate. Everything you need should be in plastic bags. No Strollers, car seats etc.
3) Plan to reach on Interview Time, we were not allowed even 15 minutes before the Interview time.
4) They called us back at 3:00PM to collect the VISA, but started only at 4:00PM, only Immigrant Visa\'s are issued in the evening as Touriest visa is sent by courier. But there is no closing time, once the line is over, counter is closed, so don\'t take chance to go late.
