Hello guys,

We have completed CP successfully on 17th. They did asked for both the PCCs. I somehow managed to get the PCC from both RPO and Local Police Station. It was cool except we had to wait till almost 3PM for the interview. We entered the consulate at 8AM and we were called for the interview at 3PM. Packet was delivered same day at arount 5.30. They did not even asked for I-134 or Form 9003. However, they did asked for a copy of I140 to one of the applicant. They asked him to get it and come next day. Rest everything was cool.

Dont worry about PCC as PCC from US is sufficient. Even if you dont have it - go to RPO and you will get it in one day.

From Feb, if you dont have PCC - it is going to be a big problem.

I will answer any question after 21st.

Good luck to all the applicants.

AKS -How did you get the PCC from local police.

Congrats!

I am processing my CP from India (hyderabad) and have no clue on local police PCC (I have the RPO PCC). Is it a standard format or custom typed. Can you post the approximate contents. and who signed it. Since we live in a city I guess it must be some local DCP or ACP. I guess the cops will expect some $$. Did have to pay anything? Thanks in advance.

PCC from local police

Hi Anand,

this is AKS1234. I just wrote an application requesting PCC. What they did is at the bottom of the same application, they wrote "there is no record for this person...bla bla..." and put a seal.

AKS1234 & Others: Was the local police PCC from DCP/ACP or Local Inspector

I went to my local DCP\'s office. They asked me to get it from Local Police Station. I met the Inspector of local police station. when I explained the situation to him, he just said that they have no format and said \'type whatever certificate you want and get it to me, i will sign it\'. sounds too good to be true, but it is!

I am thinking of the following. Not sure whether they will give me this. Anyway pls comment on it.

Office of the Inspector of Police
xyz Police Station, abc City, state, postal code
POLICE CLEARANCE CERTIFICATE

We have received an application for Police Clearance Certificate from First Name ,Last name resident of H.No 123/456, fghik colony that is under our police jurisdiction. After searching our files we have not found any adverse records against him.

Police Clearance Certificate is granted to First Name, Last Name for the purposes of application for United States Immigrant Visa.

Inspector of Police, XYX Police Station, ABC City
Name:
Date:
Signature:
Office Seal:

IMP - anand

I think a little change will be helpful:
Instead of writing "we have not found any adverse record", please write "we have do not have any record againt ...". I think if you write "any adverse record" it can be interpreted as there is some record exist and that may create soem problem. In my case they have clearly mentioned that there is no record exist and that the above mentioned address is correct.

AKS1234 - PCC from RPO ?

Hello AKS1234,
Would you please post the format for your PCC from the RPO and also your experience/process used to obtain this ?

Thanks

pcc

Hi Kevin,

You dont need a format. Just go to RPO in the morning and request them that you need the PCC same day. It is easy and absolutely no hassel. They will keep your original passport and put a stamp in your passport. They will also give you a letter that you have to give to the consular at the time of your interview.
