Got done with my CP Aug 25..pretty uneventful and in line with what others have experienced..Apart from the anticipation time, preparig docs etc, the entire process itself is pretty painless..

POE from detroit today ..again no questions asked.

One point to mention is:

At POE, the officer opened my packet and looked at the picture and found the picture was "stapled"..and asked me if I had extra copy of my photo..fortunately I had one and he took that one,..

I would recommend others to carry additional copies of photographs ..just in case..

Congratulations venky9009! What category was your case? (EB1/2 ?). My photograph was stapled as well, but the officer at the POE (also DTW) didn't say a word, and removed it and stapled it to the I-551 request form! Did they tell you how long the plastic card would take?

Congrats again. Best wishes

Thanks and congrats to you too..

My case was EB2

Regarding the plastic card, He said it depends on the "workload" and can take anywhere from weeks to months..didn't say anything precise

Lets see ..

Congrates venky9009.

I interview is in Mumbai on 22 Sept and I haven't received my P4 yet.

Can I call US consulate in Mumbai and request them to send it to Indian address?

Thanks

I'm sure that would be ok. My p4 didn't arrive in the US until the week before my interview (they actually sent it to my attorney!), and I was already in India. I had emailed the Embassy in New Delhi and they'd sent a copy of everything to an address in Delhi. The appointment letter was a copy (and unsigned at that), but it didn't seem to be a problem at all.

Best wishes next month!
