Interview on 2/19/02
DOE 2/2102 at SFO. Everything went smoothly. The vice consul was very nice, the other staff were brusque but courteous.

2 thing to remember
1. There is no bathroom in the consulate for the public. The nearest one is on level 7. With our 2 kids it was a nightmare but the staff were nice and although we missed our place in the queue they told the vice consul about it and she called us when she saw us reenter.
2. If you are paying in USD take exact change. No exceptions.

The other links that I followed were from previous Sydney Cp\'ers
Good luck all.

Pkt 3 to Interview date time?

Hi Nohope,
Congratulations for your successful interview. With so few employment based green card interviews at Sydney there is very little information around. Can you please throw some light here?
1. What was the time interval between sending your packet 3 to Sydney and receipt of interview letter (and the interview)?
2. Did you take US$100 bills or in lower denominations for visa fees?
3. Is there a choice of medical doctors? Any in Melbourne or just Sydney? How many days should one keep for their medical tests?
4. Any good hotels near the consulate?

thanks for your time.

Sure

Packet 3 received by consulate 12/10/01
Interview letter mailed on 1/15/02. They only get the EB visas once a month from the DOS around the 15th

Take 50\'s instead of 100 bills because for 100\'s they write the serial number down.

Dr Millar was my choice because he is close to the consulate. His staff are very professional. We were scheduled for 11AM but arrived there at 10:30AM and they started all the work. His admin is Pat who is a nice lady. There is 1 other Dr in Sydney and 1 in Canberra. Yes there are also a couple of Drs in Melbourne as well. Dr Millar turns the results around in 48 hours. I think the other guys take a little longer.

Yes they are lots of good hotels in the area but most are pretty pricey because of the proximity to Circular Quay. Perhaps a hotel at Town Hall or Central will be cheaper. If you have rellies they are the best bet since public transportation from the suburbs to Sydney CBD is prtty good.

Good luck!
