First of all - No mention of Police clearance certificate, No Sailing permit, No pay stubs in the interview.
Medical: Lilavati. (Reason: Everything done the same day and staff is excellent)
Photos: My Own Studio (Highly Recommended)
Drafts: Indian Overseas Bank (Highly Recommended)
My interview was at 9.30 AM.
I reached there at 8.30AM. I had a American Tourister bag with me and they said they will not allow it in and I had to deposit it at Raj Pavillion for 40 Rupees.
I took all the documents and stood in line and they let me in.
I was directed straight to Window#13 where I paid my fees. We do not need to collect any token as the other non immigrant visa people need.
Also, I was then called in at 11.50 AM at window # 12. I was getting impatient at the end.
There was an Indian Lady officer who asked me
- Where do u work
- Ur fathers name
- Ur mothers name
I am single so she asked do u plan to get married soon.
That is it
She just took the following docs
- IRS 9003
- DS Forms
- Copy of birth certificate
- Photos
- Fee receipt
- Work employment letter (She called the job offer letter. I was confused for a minute)
That is it.
After that I was called in for interview in around 30 minutes and the officer was very cool.
I had to raise my right hand and he asked me following
- Where do u work
- Did I get my education in US
and he said I am all set.
I collected the passport in evening. It was a long wait in sun. But worth it.
There is nothing stamped on passort.
They gave me a package and spelled my address wrong. However it seems the pOE officer can correct it.
