Thanks a lot to this forum and all the participants.

All the best to future CP\'ers.

Congratulations Sudhir...That was a smooth sailing

thanks for sharing the info and Good Luck for future...

Congrats V Suresh. I thought you were planning to postpone your interview.

Good u didnt.

Anyway thasnks to all for the best wishes.

at POE

Have the brown Packets in your hand bag. The consulate told me to also have X rays available..but they did not collect at POE.

All you have to do is line up in the Citizen/new resident line at immigration. and they will direct you to where fingerprints are taken and passport stamped.

Good luck

At poe Newark.

same as patta hara.. Just keep the Brown Packet in hand bag as they wont let you collect your baggage till passport is stamped with GC.
and consulate suggests to keep X-ray handy but ins ppl on newark airport din\' ask for it. I returned on 4th and the complete process took 30 minutes at newark airport.

Congrats Sudheer and thanks for all your help.

Thanks for the mail Nitin

Thanks Patta Hara and Nitin for sharing the info...
Patta! did u get ur plastic card...just curious cos ur DOE must be in Dec end or early Jan...

Hey Nitin140, nice meeting you at the time of medical at KP Jain clinic. Did you prepone your interv

I believe your interview was also on the same day as mine & sudhir ?

Guys, just came back from India. POE at SFO was very smooth & was a process of 5 minutes. Went in the new immigrants line at SFO airport. Officer took the finger printing & stamped the passport with I-551 valid for a year.

Sudhir, to answer your question, keep the brown envelop handy as the baggage claim is done after immigration formalities. X-rays were not asked but we had them handy too.(Anyway we had kept all the documents in a bag which was kept as cabin luggage therefore at the time of immigration check as SFO we had all the docs with us!!!)

Thanks
Vishal

PS: Gotta sleep now. oops this jetlag.. :o(!!!

Thaks SOnu. Yes it was easy as thought.

Although the last years tax returns that they asked took me by surprise as the last few people whom I| knew were not asked for it.
Anyway it is still the way to go. WHat about u? Is your CP done?
