I would like to thanks a million to everybody for guiding and helping me through this journey....
My Counsalate experience:
Reached the consulate @7.20 am. There was a long queue ahead of me. They first let people with pending cases in (probably incomplete documents). Later around 7.45 am they started taking people with scheduled appointments. I had taken everything in clear plastic bags...no purse for my wife...also the document folder you carry should not have zipper...I saw they asked a person to leave the folder with zipper out and carry only the documents...we were in by about 8.00am...inside the consulate they collected the appointment letter and were asked to seat in fron of window 10....waited for about one hour 30 minutes and my name was announced for document collection....jolly Indian guy first collected all my documnets...to my surprise they did not had my Part 1 and was asked to submit...i had taken attestes copy from my lawyer and submitted the same...other documents asked were Part 2, medicals, notarized employment letter, birth certificate photo copy, marriage caertificate copy, original PCC and 1 passport picture....in the meantime my wife was asked to go and pay fees ($335/person in Indian Rupees). Documents collected for my wife were: Part2, medicals, original PCC, birth and marriage caertificate copy and 1 passport picture...we were asked to wait for interview...in about an hour we were called for interview which was just a formality...we were asked to give our index finger prints, raise our hands and take oath...there was american lady officer and another Indian guy at the interview window...the officer asked me where I work, what do I do and what softwares do I use...thats it and was asked to come and collect the passport at 3.30 pm...
POE experience...
I directly went to US citizens queue...ofiicer there told me I should have gone to Visitors queue...however she checked all my information in the computer and stamped the passports...and then asked to go to another counter which was marked as special counter...the officer there was very courteous...opened the yellow enveloped, checked few things in the computer and said everything is OK....he then filled up some cards and made us sign those and alos took our finger prints on the same....he confirmed our address and welcomed us.
if any questions fell free to ask me...
