Succesful early fingerprinting in NYC (manhattan)

Another early fingerprinting data-point:

My wife and I received fingerprinting notices with appointments for 18th October but since we will be travelling then, we walked in for early fingerprinting at the Varick Street ASC in Manhattan last week. Went very smoothly, no one even asked why we were there early. We were out in less than 20 minutes, receipts in hand.

This was different from my experience. I went to the same ASC office in Manhattan last month hoping to get my fingerprint #2 done early but they told me to come back on or after my printed appointment date. I guess it depends on your luck. My whole process has been very slow so far and this is no exception...
