HEARTIEST congratulations! Sure enough everyone is eager to hear your side of the story, especially the folks who would be going thru the CP process in Pakistan!
I would be going for my interview in mumbai next month but am definitely looking forward to know what happened @your interview.
Here are some of the topics that you might want to elaborate on:
1. Medicals
2. Before Interview
3. At Interview
4. After Interview
5. POE
Any tips/ suggestions would help all those who are to follow!
Also if you could share your experiences at http://www.immihelp.com/gc/consular/experiences.html
that woudl be great!
Thank you very much kdivekar! I am indebted to you, Raju595, and txcp for your excellent advice and support. I am sure you will have no problem with your upcoming CP interview.
My interview experiences were very similar to those already posted for Islamabad. The interview itself was VERY VERY brief. Actually there was no interview at all!! After we were called to the window, the interview officer basically said that all was in order and congratulated us. Our immigrant visa packets were then ready within 30 minutes!
I would definitely advise people to go through CP for their green card in Islamabad. The situation for non-immigrant visas (NIV) is however, different. While were waiting to be called, approximately 80-90% of the NIV applicants being interviewed in front of us were rejected. However, this should not dissuade CP applicants, as all the people who have posted here (including myself) have had very favorable experiences.
Mind you, this is an expression of my opinion only.
POE was at LAX. Apart from a very long waiting time (they were short-staffed), everything was uneventful. Now I am just waiting for the plastic cards - and the process will be complete!
Thanks again to everyone.
