Hi, I think I might have a major problem!!! My wife (Canadian Citizen) and I were married back in December in america. She has since stayed in the US. we filed all of our papers (I-130, I-485, I-765, I-693, I-864) concurrently, but I just realized that I may have made a HUGE mistake!! Everything on every form looks to be fine except with the I-485. In "Part 3 Processing Information" I accidentally checked the wrong box ("no") when it asked "Were you inspected by a U.S. immigration Officer?"

Then I was reading a few sources, one being a processing/adjudication outline for the USCIS stating if a person entered unlawfully, without "inspection" (or an EWI as they call it) that person was automatically inelligible to adjust status!!!

So my quetsion would be, now that it's submitted, can I correct the mistake?!? Can I just call the USCIS and alert them? Does this mean that she's gonna get rejected and sent back to canada?!?! Any help would REALLY be appreciated! Thanks in advance for all your help!!!

Regards,

Troy

Oh and by the way, she truly was inspected being that she flew air canada from Vancouver airport to LAX and got a B-2 visa stamp in her current passport... dangit that such a small lil checkbox mistake can ruin an entire application and potentially a life!! :(

I already got my notice of receipt.... I have already corrected the mistake and filled out the form.... should I just re-send it again!??!?

Yes, she has prooof... it's stamped on her passport, of which I included a photocopy of the main passport page (with pic & addie info) + the page where it was stamped by a border/customs guy with a B-2 visa....
