Submitted DS-260, what next?

I submitted / completed forms DS-260 for myself and my spouse. Yet at no point throughout the forms was it mentioned anywhere that I could include any supporting documents, including our marriage record.

My question is, at what point and in which way will I be contacted to submit police records, marriage record, and birth records? Who will contact me, how soon, and will this be by email? I submitted my form around end July and my case number is AS000002XX. What can I expect...?

You do not seem to have read the full instructions linked from your selection letter. It includes details about how KCC will contact you for copies of certain civil documents and what additional documents you will need to bring to interview. Please make sure to read all the pages as well as all the links from those pages. I’ve linked here to the start of the post-DS260 part but please ensure you read everything https://travel.state.gov/content/tr...ersity-visa-prepare-supporting-documents.html

The pages will not tell you “when”. When happens is…. when it happens, unfortunately, no defined timeline. You can try submitting documents without being asked first, but I haven’t seen any evidence this makes a difference as those who do that still seem to get a routine request to submit later.
