Hi,
I am preparing my EB1-A and NIW application. My former lawyer told me I might have a strong NIW case because I am working on the cancer related projects. She said my EB1-A case is not strong. I have 6 journal papers, 8 conference abstracts (most are 1st author) and a couple of minor awards. She said a lot applicants in CA are simply geniuses. Anyway I will try both. I am wondering if the order I send out two applications matters. Is there any special consideration for this?
  Thanks,

any order but check with attorney

As far as I know you can send your applications in any order. You may also consider other immigration attorneys to evaluate your EB1 case. The key is supporting letters: if you get 8-10 of them from a diverse group of experts in your field you may be able to qualify. There is no harm (othaer than to your wallet ;) in trying.

letters

My lawyer told me the quality of the letter is more important than the number. Four high quality letters are enough. She even told me a guy got his case approved with only 2 recommendation letters.

However, I would agree the diversity of the referee is important. If they comes from 2/3 institutes/companies, that should be good enough.

The numbers are subjective

My opinion is to get as many strong letters as you. The numbers are important provided all them are strong.

I got 10 letters from Academia, Industry, Colleagues, Collaborators, Advisor/Professors - From US/Canada/India etc.
