My (employer's) lawyer filed I-140, I-765 and I-485 concurrently in the Vermont Service Centre.
Receipt date is August 12 2003. I'm currently here on an L1B visa, good until August 2006. I also have a new EAD, good until Aug 2005. I have an advance parole document that I have never used, good until Sept 2004. A petition for a new advance parole document is currently pending.
My I-140 was approved Dec 17 2003. I do not recall receiving any notification of this. It is very possible that the lawyer that my firm retains has it...she doesn't bother returning my phone calls or e-mails unless something needs to be done.
What's the difference between the I-140 and the I-485?
What stages should I expect next?
