Hi,
I am not sure if this is the right forum. But , since it is related
to I-485, I thought I might as well ask you folks...

Can I study fulltime with EAD while I-485 is pending..
Do universities verify the visa/status requirements..?
Any pointer to these info would be most welcome...

Thanks in advance..

YES and NO

According to my opinion, Yes and NO.If you are the primary applicant, NO. ( Even though GC technically for future employment, they might ask your current pay stubs and etc) If you are filled thru your spouse, yes. Not a problem.consult your lawyer!

Hi there,

In terms of law, AOS pending does not contradict F-1 nonimmigration intent ( to see the reason please see a previous thread)

If you pay your tuition, AOS make you pay less as a resident, and you can let shcool know to let you enjoy the benefit.

If you work for study, you can still enjoy F-1 benefits (see the recent post "worked without EAD", I list the term), you can keep silence about your AOS.

Good luck

Duke
