Student while on EAD?Is it reportable?

Hello all,
I have a friend who wants to go to school as a full time student. He is a beneficiary of his wife's petition and is on EAD now. Can he attend school on EAD. Is this a reportable event to INS? Does he need a status change from EAD to F-1?W ill this jeopordise his GC process. Please advise.

I guess it is ok

My wife attend school as H4, never transfer to F1, and later get EAD from my application. Use the EAD to get part time job at the school to pay the tuition. Talk with the International Student Officer anyway.

He can attend school with EAD. However, he cannot get his status changed to F-1. F-1 is strictly a non-immigrant visa and BCIS will not approve this. Also, I don't think he has to report this to BCIS.
