Hi All,
I am a new member of this very useful forum.
Currently I am one year away to get my Master degree in Comp Science and using CPT for working in a software company.
I got a bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering from my native country.
My question is whether I should use my OPT prior of my graduation (my university allows student to do this), or ask my company to start processing my H1-B?
The problem is that if I apply for H1-B, then I have to use my bachelor degree that has no relation with my current employment. Will there be any problems?
Another thing is,
Let's say, I already transfered my visa to H1-B, but my company lays me off, then I have to transfer back to F-1. Will this affect my future H1-B application?
There might be some other situation that I have not thought of, so your opinion on my particular situation is appreciated.
regards,
M
