After receiving an online update that approval notice has been sent (September 5 and then again September 10) and that the card has been mailed (September 11), I received another one today saing the following:

Current Status: Document mailed to applicant.

On September 12, 2007 we mailed the document to the address we have on file. You should receive the new document within 30 days. If you do not, or if you move before you get it, call customer service.

I am yet to receive ANYTHING in the mail though... Does anyone know what they refer by "the document" and when should I expect my GC?

what form was this LUD against?

What application for was this LUD against?
Document mailed means that the the approval notice along with the card is sent to you through USPS mail.
If it was for the 765, then it is your EAD.

If it was for 485, then it is your GC.
Although for 485 applications, the status message would read somewhat like .... Welcome Notice sent AND/OR the applicant has been registered as a permanent resident.
From your message, it looks like it is your EAD.

oh, sorry! I forgot to mention it - it's for my I485. still nothing in the mail. never got the "welcome notice" update online, but got approval notice twice, card mailed and now the document mailed. still nothing in the mail... it all started September 5. how long does it take usually? if they actually mailed it, it shouldn't take more than two days I wouldn't think...

Document Mailed to applicant

Can anyone advice what this means ? My 485 has been pending since Aug 2005 and my status also changed on Sep 11 from pending to Document mailed to applicant. Does it mean the case got approved or something else. I have already done FP 2 times, and my address has not changed. I did not get any other message of LUD since 2005 on my 485, what could this be ? I have been checking my mail daily and till today saturday i do not see anything in mail. what could this be ? i m goping nuts, anyone, please advice if they got in similar position. thanks
