Strange problem. Please help

My I 485 got approved and I have Infopass appointment on 3/3/05. I heard they take right index finger print at the time of stamping.

unfotunately I cut my right index finger recently. Do I have to wait until it heals or can I take a chance. The cut is on side of the finger.

when do the PP stamp FP, you only use the center of you index finger,

not the way when you do your regular FP by rolling the finger. So chances are that cutting on the side wouldn't affect the result.
 
hey GCNC, I cannot answer your question, I would imagine they will try to take a FP and if it is too obscured, they will say come back. When we were there on Friday they were quite strict about other things (sent one woman away cos she didn't have her expired EAD with her). I would try at least.

If you do decide to cancel your appointment - I will gladly take the cancellation ;) (i'm having touble this time getting one)
 
Depends on the distance

I will suggest that if you are close by the USCIS office then take the chance and attend your appointment as scheduled; but if you have to fly then do not risk you money and reschedule.

I have to drive from Raleigh. I will take a chance and atleast my wife will get stamping on passport.
 
good luck for tomorrow- BTW when heading to the charlotte office - the turn for the USCIS road is on the left when coming from i-77 exit 5 or 6. It is a small entrance which almost looks like a golf course (we almost missed it)

And in case you were planing on taking I-85 bypass - the first exit on I-40 is closed at the moment, so you need to go on to greensboro!!!!

They accepted the finger print. Thank you jacquelina. Your instructioned to reach the USCIS office really helped.

The entire process took 30 mins for me and my wife. Hopefully I receive card soon.
 
congratulations on your FP's, hopefully the actual card will be soon- at least you are now all official :)
